About the Event
An art exhibition titled “Mental Tapestries,” by Boxless Society, a mental health support group for artists and their caregivers, is slated to open on 5pm Thursday, 23 May 2019 at Intouch Office, 48 McKinley Road, Forbes Park, Makati City.
The exhibition will feature works focused on the theme of mental health, as the group advocates creativity, in all its forms, as a means of managing mental illnesses.
With “Mental Tapestries”, the group collectively weaves emotions and ideas about mental health on artworks created with various media as the starting point for dialogue and understanding.
The participating artists are: Benna Lourenz A. Zuñiga, Cheenee Buenaventura, Dina Cagaangan, Jaymee Duran, Jessica Antonio, Len Llige, Lucylle Bianca Cawaling, Melissa Basmayor, Mohini Ochangco, Monica Macalinao, Sasha Garcia, Tarik Garcia, Tisa_arte_de_t, and Tsina Lee M. Pineda.
Boxless Society is committed to promoting understanding about mental health through art, seminars, workshops, support groups and other related endeavors which in turn benefits artists with mental illness, their caregivers and society as a whole.
