About the Event

Every year, the European Delegation to the Philippines presents Cine Europa, which is considered as the country’s foremost festival exclusively devoted to showcasing the best motion pictures from the European continent. Now, on its 21st year, Cine Europa will be held in Manila from December 6-16.  Films and documentaries from the Philippines that have European connections or content complement the screenings with educational forums and lectures.

Cine Eurpa 2018

For Cine Europa 2018, eminent film historian and award-winning filmmaker Nick Deocampo will share his research and documentary on the 100 Years of Philippine Cinema.

Another award-winning filmmaker, regional cinema advocate Elvert Bañares, will share his study on the use of film in understanding different cultures. The Cine Europa 2018 lecture series and workshop will be held on December 12, 13, and 14, at 11 am at the Red Carpet Cinema 1, Shangri-La Cineplex, Mandaluyong.
