About the Event
Most of the works of Alan are installations – conceptual…time and space related... thus in effect, they are theories and philosophies culled from his psycho-socio-cultural past, that he struggled so hard to externalize and elevate into art forms, most of his lifetime.
The artist Alan may have succeeded in some art pieces, but there are still more desiring for expression or better still at this time desiring for interpretation from other artists, students, critical public and plain viewers.
Thus, a reconstruction. A rebuilding of the “past” in the perspective of the “now” and “thereafter”. Ideal for its better understanding and progression.
Alan Rivera was part of the CCP's 13 Artists in 1972.
