Fans of Jesuit Music Minsitry’s (JMM) rousing and invigorating “One Praise” movement can expect exciting things as the buildup to the Charismatic music collection’s third edition finally begins.
A series of spirited praise-and-worship singles will be released over digital music service providers Spotify, Deezer, ITunes and Apple Music, featuring some of the most well-loved and up-and-coming charismatic music groups in the country.
Newcomer Ang Ligaya ng Panginoon’s “Shepherd of my Soul” was featured last September 28 on Spotify’s official playlist, New Music Friday Philippines.
Also included in the cast of talented musicians set to debut their original songs are Christ’s Youth Action, Elim Music Ministry, Light of Jesus, The Lord’s Flock, Simply 4 Him and Liveloud.
The successive releases of Filipino Christian contemporary musical singles that started last July, are in anticipation of the much-awaited One Praise 3, A Worship concert slated on October 20, at the Ateneo de Manila High School Covered Courts. Jesuit Music Ministry targets the release of the complete One Praise third album by April 2019.
Spearheaded by former Jesuit Music Minsitry Director, Fr. Roseller Atilano SJ, the One Praise movement features a gathering of proudly Filipino Catholic charismatic groups dedicated to the production and sharing of modern praise and worship songs. JMM’s outstanding contribution to the emerging sound of Filipino Christian contemporary music has been acknowledged when the first One Praise album bagged the Catholic Mass Media Award for ‘Best Inspirational Album’ last October 12, 2016.
