About the Event
Weaved effortlessly by their parents, the three Llantero siblings have been embroiling themselves in the culture of arts and music since their tender age. They convey the eccentricity of their identities via tangible artworks that all have been displayed in various exhibits wherein they’ve also played melodic pieces through their violins. Notwithstanding their ardent interests in arts, the siblings continue to prove amazing ingenuity by also being consistent achievers in school.
Joie Angelo “Jolo” Tongson Llantero is the eldest among the three siblings. Besides violin and piano, pencils and paint brushes have been between his fingers since he was eight years old. Now a nineteen-year-old Computer Engineering student of University of the Philippines in Diliman, Jolo remains steadfast in his studies and hobbies. Jolo recently uses line collages on his artworks as his medium to accentuate his distinct zeal on novelty. He is currently exploring mixed media and contemporary arts.
It can also be deemed that Jolo’s younger brother, Julian Thomas Tongson Llantero, a grade 8 student, is as competent as him. At the age of eight years old, Julian already explored his artistic side and has been honing it for six years. Julian was a former grade school student council’s president and badminton varsity player. Currently, he is the CDBS choir violinist and one of the school’s representatives in the World Robotics Summit competition this coming October 2018. Julian is one of the founders and current president of Kid Volunteers Group—an organization of children who spreads volunteerism and awareness among their fellow youth apropos taking care of the environment and reaching out to indigent children especially the orphans.
Julian’s co-founder of Kid Volunteers Group is their youngest sister, Alysa Corinne Tongson Llantero, an eleven-year-old, consistent scholar and student council’s grade school vice president of De la Salle University Integrated School. Corinne started practicing her brush stroke techniques at an early of four years old . She is also a violinist and a pianist, who unveiled her mathematical skills by acquiring several medals from numerous local and international Mathematics competitions. More so, this painter is also a journalist. In fact, at Grade 5, she was already a National Schools’ Press Conference (NSPC) qualifier and became the Editor-in-Chief of the school papers, “La Nouvellete” and “Ang Munting Manunudla”. She is also the current student council’s Grade School Vice President.
These erudite Llantero siblings are indeed veering towards imminent prominence with their remarkable flairs. The verity that they have unceasingly excelled in school whilst refining their talents solidifies their giftedness. Hence, Life n’ Arts is honored to showcase these siblings’ artworks in the upcoming painting exhibit entitled “Artis3 for UNICEF”. The oeuvres of their mentor, Ms. Lerma Julian will also be put on sale together with Judge Jeanette Bilan and Ms. Owie Chiong’s creations to support the sibling’s advocacy.
Be a part of this outreach program by availing the paintings made by the aforementioned artists in the said art exhibit this July 22, 2018 in Vista Mall, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. All masterpieces will be sold in a friendly-rate and 100% of the profits will be donated to UNICEF Philippines to further support the indigent Filipino children.
