Artinformal presents new solo exhibitions by LeCruz, Jan Balquin, and Richard
Quebral at the gallery’s Makati location opening on July 5, 2018, 6pm. All exhibitions
will be on view until July 31, 2018.

Jan Balquin continues to explore the ‘wall’ as a form in An End, surveying not only its materiality as a boundary enforcing limitations but also as a starting point, a source for reflection and introspection.

LeCruz, or Lec Cruz (b. 1982), has done solo exhibitions since 2015, beginning with 39:40, which was shown at a private residence in Manila, and The Sun Sets in the West shown at West Gallery in 2016. He is a philosophy and fine arts graduate of the University of the Philippines. On occasion, he writes about art exhibitions for galleries and artists.

Based in the Ilocos, Richard Quebral (b. 1985) has done a number of shows in Manila since 2012. He had first solo exhibition, Scenes on the Shoreline of Somewhere Beautiful, at Blanc in 2017. Service Over is his second solo exhibition.

Jan Balquin (b. 1989) lives and works in Quezon City, Philippines. She studied fine arts at the University of the Philippines and received a grant for her thesis. She has joined a number of group shows since her thesis exhibit at the Philippine High School for the Arts in 2007. Her most recent exhibit, A Bargain Between Margins, shown this year at The Drawing Room, is her fourth solo exhibition.
