About the Event

Think your teen has the potential to be the next J.K. Rowling, John Green, or Veronica Roth? Take the next step in cultivating your child’s creativity by signing him up for our teen writing workshop this summer, “Leagues and Legends: Building Guilds, Houses and Other Affiliations in Fiction”.

LEAGUES AND LEGANDS

This half-day writing workshop for teens will touch on topics such as the basics of fiction writing and character design, but will focus more on what makes affiliations work, and how to best develop one in your story.

Talecraft creator, Ria Lu, will be facilitating the workshop. She is also the Executive Director of the Game Developers Association of the Philippines and the Founder of Komikasi Games and Entertainment. Talecraft is a story-creation card game designed to help writers break out of mental block and create stories with genres and characters that are outside of what you usually like to create.

Participants should be teenagers between the ages of 13 to 18 years who generally have an interest in writing, more specifically fiction writing, creative writing, feature writing, and journaling. Each will receive a deck of Talecraft cards that they can use to develop their story creation skills even at home.

Registration is now open for “Leagues and Legends: Building Guilds, Houses and Other Affiliations in Fiction” happening on June 2, 2018, Saturday, 1:00 to 5:00PM in Fully Booked, Bonifacio Global City. For inquiries and reservations, email writersblock.ph@gmail.com or contact +63917-397-9927.
