About the Event
In the middle of the busy Metro, take a trip back to nature with us through "Punung-Puno!: 50 paintings at 50!". The first solo art exhibit by Dr. Janet de Grano. What started as an avenue to stave off depression when her eldest child left for university has grown into a passion. Using colors and canvases, Janet was able to interpret her adoration of the earthly evidence of God's creations.
Janet has taken up non-formal workshops with Svetlana Orinko (New Zealand), with Alvaro Castagnet (USA), and at the Julian Ashton Art School (Australia). She has been coached locally by Julius Legaspi, and Angelito 'Jo' Florendo.
For this exbhibit, She has compiled 50 paintings for her 50th birthday featuring paintings that depict scenes from nature, mostly inspired by her travels and hiking adventures! Come and share in the inspiration with us and our media partner, WhenInManila.com
"Punung-Puno!: 50 Paintings at 50" is open for public viewing from May 1, 2018 until May 23, 2018 at the GSIS Museo ng Sining, Pasay City.
