About the Event

Throughout the years, the Regionalization Students Organization (RSO) has sought to assess and examine various issues surrounding the Philippine healthcare system in an effort to improve health both in local communities and as a nation. This year, RSO invites you to its fifth Philippine Conference on Community Health (PCCH) entitled “Agap: Addressing Community Health Issues in States of Emergencies and Disasters” which will be held from March 10 to 11, 2018 at the Buenafe Auditorium, Calderon Hall in the College of Medicine, University of the Philippines Manila.

5th Philippine Conference on Community Health

Almost without fail, natural disasters ransack our country one after another. From typhoons to earthquakes, and even volcanic eruptions, the Filipino people are always being thrown into the mercy of forces far beyond our control. This year's Philippine Conference on Community Health seeks to examine the health issues prevalent in these situations, where and how they arise, how they can be prevented, and ultimately how they can be addressed.

Our Speakers

Hear from the country’s leaders in the topic of Disaster Management and learn about wide array of concerns surround this topic, including national disaster management protocols, national and international aid, disaster management in communities like Yolanda, Marawi and Mayon, and many more. Among our roster of speakers is Dr. Philip Padilla, an alumni of the UP College of Medicine and former Faculty Regent of the University of the Philippines who will be sharing his vast knowledge about disaster management plans in the local setting. Representing the Health Emergency Management Bureau of the Department of Health, moreover, Dr. Ronald Law will be speaking about the Department of Health and disaster response.
