About the Event
The Ateneo Association of European Studies Students (AEuSS) is thrilled to launch its flagship project: the 8th Ateneo Model United Nations (AMUN). Now on it’s 8th year, the MUN will be hosting the biggest number of delegates to date! The annual event, which allows participants to become delegates in the United Nations, allows students to engage in discussions and debates, honing their skills in diplomacy through discourse regarding global issues. They will have to embody their respective countries’ foreign policies, and more importantly, foster a spirit of camaraderie among fellow delegates.
This year’s central theme of “Fostering Sustainable Development: Responding to Global Issues through Innovation”, is inspired by the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Committees for this year’s conference include the UN Security Council (UNSC), the UN General Assembly (UNGA), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), and the UN Development Programme (UNDP). The three day conference will be held on March 1-3, 2018 in the Ateneo De Manila University campus. We hope you to see you there! And remember: engage local and start global!
