About the Event

Anyone can be a photographer these days. With the smartphone as your all-in-one gadget, you could easily take, edit, and post photos with one click.

Screen Capture: A Mobile Photography

But how about weaving those selfies, food or travel pics together to create a story behind your photos? Let our event take your photography skills to the next level. “Screen Capture: A Mobile Photography & Visual Narrative” workshop with visual journalist Veejay Villafranca happens on March 10, 2018, 1-6pm at Fully Booked BGC.

Veejay Villafranca works around the Asian region contributing to international publications and working with non-governmental organizations in producing visual reports on selected social issues. He has just released SIGNOS, a visual report on the lives of communities displaced by the effects of climate change, which has been exhibited in over 10 countries in Asia, Europe and USA.

Expect a series of lectures that will tackle brief history of photography, the difference between mobile phone and traditional camera, creating visual narratives, and publishing your images. Of course there would be practical exercises since it’s a workshop after all!

Registration is now open for “Screen Capture: A Mobile Photography & Visual Narrative” happening on March 10, 2018, Saturday, 1:00 to 6:00PM in Fully Booked, Bonifacio Global City. Please note that participants should be at least 16 years old.
