About the Event

The Fashion Design and Merchandising (FDM) program of Benilde will be holding the annual culminating activity of their graduating batch of 2017. Entitled SINULID: Connotations of Design, their event will reveal each student’s individual approach to art and design.

SINULID: Connotations of Design

This year, the program continues their presentation, which will cover two major tracks: fashion design and fashion merchandise-marketing. The latter showcases fashion branding and communication as well as styling in light of sustainable fashion through recycling and deconstruction, both highlighting the various significant career possibilities in the fashion industry.

The Fashion Design track will be presenting a fashion show at 6:00pm on the 27th of July (Thursday) at the SM Aura Premier Samsung Hall, 6/F, and will feature works of students in creative and experimental designs. The Fashion Merchandise-Marketing track—styling, organizing pop-up shops, and displaying their collection with visual branding collaterals—will hold their exhibit and presentation of brand concepts from July 21 to 27, 2017 (Friday- Thursday) at the SM Aura Premier Atrium, G/F.

As their last hurrah in their final year, these students have worked day and night to stand out from their peers, but also to bring one spotlight to the talent that Benilde molds. They strive to prove their worth as individuals and professionals in the art and design industry, as well as well-bred Benildeans, who—as their school motto suggests—do their ordinary work extraordinarily well.
