About the Event
Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants De La Salle University - Dasmariñas (JPIA DLSU-D), the premiere organization for BS Accountancy students of De La Salle University - Dasmariñas (DLSU-D), brings you this year’s “Towards Brighter Horizons: Accounting Conference 2016!” The event will be held on October 16, 2016 January 29, 2017 at the Provincial Gymnasium, Trece Martires, Cavite.
In partnership with Accounting Enrichment Society (AcES DLSU-D), Cavite Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (CaJPIA), National Federation of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants Region IV (NFJPIA - R4), and Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants Cavite Chapter (PICPA - Cavite), JPIA DLSU-D is organizing a conference that features the changes in the CPA Board Exams, integrated reporting, revisions in accounting standards, and CPA success stories. This conference aims to expand the outlook of future accountants when it comes to the profession. Over 1,500 students from different universities in National Capital Region and Region IV- CALABARZON are invited to the event.
The speakers of the aforementioned event include Ms. Mary May C. Eulogio, the Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administrative Services of DLSU-D, who will discuss integrated reporting, Mr. Dominador A. Barrion, the past immediate PICPA National President, who will share his success story as an accountant to inspire the audience, and a partner from P&A Grant Thornton, who will discuss the newly developed standard on leases.
JPIA DLSU-D also invited the Vice Chairman of the Board of Accountancy (BOA), Dr. Gloria J. Tolentino- Baysa. She will discuss the BOA Resolutions on the revision in the CPA Board Examination, the syllabus and table of specifications, CHED’s reasons for including three (3) new accountancy tracks in the accountancy program, and the proposed amendments in the accountancy law.
