Mga Awit ng Pagsinta: Isang Konsert-Drama
About the Event
In its sixteenth year of unwavering dedication in making quality music that glorifies God, entertains, serves, and inspires, De La Salle Innersoul, the pop vocal group of De La Salle University, presents "Mga Awit ng Pagsinta: Isang Konsert-Drama" this November 14 & 15, 2013 at the Teresa Yuchengco Auditorium, DLSU, as a way of further promoting awareness and appreciation of Filipino culture and tradition.
Centering on the many definitions and embodiments of love through different characters with different contexts, the said concert-drama is staged in two acts that showcase the following binaries - the rural and the modern, the disputed and the moral, the struggling and the privileged, the conquered and the free - all of which are part of common themes in Filipino life that focus on the religious, the societal, the friendly, and the familial.
A wide range of Original Pilipino Music (OPM) spanning decades of Philippine history will be brought to life on stage by the theatrical and vocal talents of the members of De La Salle Innersoul.
Proceeds of the production are for the benefit of the One La Salle Scholarship Fund and the needs of those affected by the most recent earthquake in Cebu and Bohol.
Be one with us in this endeavor as we celebrate the Filipino and the many ways in which Filipinos embody love and compassion for others, one of which the most well-known is undeniably and irrevocably that which is shown through music.
