The Big Bad Wolf Book Fair – a.k.a. the biggest one in the world – is coming back to Manila for its third year this February 14 at the World Trade Center in Pasay City! Just like the previous years, the fair will be running for 24 hours until it closes on February 24, so you get 10 whole days to snag all the books you want! 

Bibliophiles can expect to find over 2 million new books from different genres – from children's literature and fiction novels to graphic novels and coffee table reads – to be available during the event. These are priced with a 50% to 90% discount so make sure you bring your eco-bags and luggage if you're planning to hoard and stock up your shelves with even more good reads!

Cosmos: UP Fair
February 14 (UP Sunken Garden)

This Valentine’s Day 2020, love takes over the universe. 

The UP Junior Marketing Association, in partnership with the University Student Council, presents another out-of-this world experience! Everyone is welcome to join Cosmo and the cosmic crew in the biggest gathering of music and love at Cosmos: UP Fair Friday this February 14!

Now in its fourth year, Cosmos: UP Fair Friday will once again surpass exciting frontiers! Prepare to be serenaded by the best of mainstream and emerging Filipino talents, such as The Itchyworms, Hale, IV of Spades, Moonstar88, Autotelic, and many more. Cosmos: UP Fair Friday is expected to attract over 15,000 attendees in the Sunken Garden, to witness the most stellar performances, various concessionaires, amusement rides, and game booths.

The annual UP Fair has always been a celebration of expression through Filipino music. Cosmos: UP Fair Friday aims to take it further by advocating for gender emancipation and empowerment — shedding light on our demand for equality, and social & political justice for all genders. In the cosmos, there is only room for all kinds of love.

Gates open at 4:00pm and the walk-in ticket booth opens at 8:00am. Tickets are priced at PHP 120.00 for UP Diliman students, faculty, and staff, and PHP 250.00 for non-UP members. 

Boyce Avenue Live in Manila
February 16 (Smart Araneta Coliseum)

The “Boyce” are coming back due to popular demand. One of the biggest independent bands in the world – Boyce Avenue, are returning to Manila for a one-night Valentine’s weekend concert on February 16th at the Araneta Coliseum. This time, they will be joined by two of today’s most streamed local artists in the Philippines – December Avenue and I Belong To The Zoo.

ALT Philippines 2020

Rev Music Festival
February 15 (UP Sunken Garden)

For Saturday night (15 February), REV 2020 brings the heavy riffs and double peds to the hallowed halls of Diliman. Headliners for the night would be two of the hailed Kings of the metal scene Queso and Greyhoundz. They will be playing alongside Valley of Chrome, Saydie, Vie, Urbandub, Sandwich, Moonstar 88, Giniling Festival, Gracenote, 6cyclemind, Munimuni, Better Days, The Vowels they Orbit, Kurei, Mothercampers, Room for Cielo, as well as acts from the UP Community.

REV is set to take place at UP Diliman Sunken Garden from 4:00pm to 2:00am.
