The Basics of Creative NonFiction with Screenwriter Wanggo Gallaga
July 20 (The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Legazpi Village)
Just because you write something factual and true does not mean it cannot be told with the flair of drama or a touch of comedy. Take it from poet and filmmaker Wanggo Gallaga when he says that “the written form of nonfiction is far from being boring”.
Gallaga will be facilitating “The Basics of Creative NonFiction”, a writing workshop that will focus on the creative aspect of the writing process. The workshop will be on July 20, 2019 from 1pm to 4pm at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Rada Street, Makati City.
The course will include guidelines for creative nonfiction, helpful prompts, and drafting tools. There will also be a discussion on the basic structure of stories (fiction) and then basic structures of metaphors (poetry) and how to use these to liven up creative nonfiction work.
“The Basics of Creative NonFiction with Wanggo Gallaga” will be on July 20, 2019 at The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Rada Street, Legazpi Village, Makati. There is a P1,000 fee per person, which cover light snacks and a certificate of participation. Slots are limited. Dylan Wang Funmeet in Manila
July 20 (Araneta Coliseum)
Meteor Garden star Dylan Wang will be coming to Manila on Saturday, July 20, for his Bench Fun Meet!
To get tickets for the show, fans should spend at least P500-worth of Bench items, which will entitle them of one General Admission invite. The purchase requirement can go as high up as P20,000 which will give the customer a VIP invite, as well as a meet and greet pass.
The single-receipt purchase can be made for regular-priced Bench, HerBench, or Bench Body items.

The party goes full swing with a weekend festival celebrating original Filipino talent on July 19, 6:00 PM featuring the headlining act of Parokya ni Edgar at the Southwoods Mall Garden Atrium. Followed by Silent Sanctuary on July 20, 6:00 PM, and Los Bastardos on July 21, at 5:00 PM.

An Improv Mixer show is a venue where improviser groups, established or not, looking to experiment with new types of improv formats can go and have a show without the logistical nightmare of actually planning for one. Each Improv Mixer Show will be composed of four improv groups.
