ELECTrify: Empowering the Filipino Voter through Marketing

The road to nationalism was started by a noble writer, our national hero, Jose Rizal. His wisdom and words were imprinted not only in our minds but also in the hearts of every Filipino. More than a hundred years have passed; a lot has changed from the day we walked down the road of independence. Indeed, change is the only constant thing in this world. The Philippines is now a vast civilization, far from being captives during the time we were colonized. Let us prove that we are not stuck in the remnants of the past. Let us give back to the state that Jose Rizal died for.

We, as Rizal’s successors, could make a great leap of change. The power to make changes, big or small, lies in our hands. All it takes is the heart to seize every opportunity that comes our way to fulfill his dreams.

Got the POWER in you? Are you ready to ELECTrify the coming elections? Are you ready to make a change for our country?

As an organization, the UP Junior Marketing Association (UP JMA) recognizes the power that lies in our hands. This year, UP JMA – Major Marketing Event, in partnership with the National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL) and Youth Vote Philippines, is proud to present ELECTrify: Empowering the Filipino Voter Through Marketing, a marketing seminar and competition which recognize the influence of marketing and the minds of the youth in the upcoming May 2010 Elections.

This marketing competition and seminar will be held on September 12, 2009 from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm at the UP Ayala Land Techportal. We’ll be sure to turn you into a POWER VOTER.
