Ballet Philippines' Swan Lake
Date: September 1-8
Venue: Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (CCP Main Theater)

Now on its 50th season, Ballet Philippines performs the iconic classical ballet 'Swan Lake.' In celebration of its 50 years, you can marvel in new sets by Toto Sicangco and additional costume designs by Michael Cinco. It features Mariinsky Theater (Kirov Ballet) stars Elena Evseeva and Andrey Ermakov as well as homegrown talents in two evening performances. Get your tickets now at the Ticketworld website.

 

Ballet Manila 24th Season: On Pointé -ā€‹ Snow White

The 24th performance season of Ballet Manila opens with Snow White by Lisa Macuja Elizalde. This magical retelling of the classic children’s story promises viewers stunning sets and costumes and stellar dancing. 37th PPO Concert Season: “Gold: Classical Music Treasures”
Date: September 13, 8PM (Concert Series I)

The 37th Concert Season of the Philippine Philharmonic opens this month, promising an outstanding lineup of Filipino musicians as well as international soloists. For its first concert series, Yoshikazu Fukumura, considered as one of Japan’s foremost maestros will return to lead the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra. The night will also feature classical pianist Noriko Ogawa known for being a fine Debussy specialist and a professor at Guildhall School of Music and Drama. On the lineup are Don Giovanni Overture; Piano Concerto no. 3, op. 26, 6 Major; and Symphony no. 7, op.70, D. minor. For tickets, you can contact the CCP box office numbers: 832-3704 / 832-1125.

 

Magic & Miracles: A Concert by The Philippine Madrigal Singers
Date: September 14-15
Venue: Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (CCP Main Theater)

The internationally acclaimed Philippine Madrigal Singers will make you believe in magic and miracles in this two-night concert, with proceeds going to the benefit projects of Punlaan School, Kalinangan Youth Foundation, and Tahilan Residence and Study Center. Ginintuang Sining: Katotohanan, Kabutihan, Kagandahan
Date: September 19, 2019

In line with the celebration of the CCP's 50th anniversary, rising in front of the CCP building is a lights and sound installation called the Ginintuang Sining. Owing from Pampanga's lantern technology, the installation aims to depict the diverse Filipino artistry and contribute to the national pride and identity. A live performance will also be held upon its unveiling.

 

MIPAM x CREATE PH 2019
Date: September 19-21
Venue: Tanghalang Ignacio B. Gimenez (CCP Black Box Theater)

The first Manila International Performing Arts Market (MIPAM) x CREATE PH will become a platform where artists, cultural operators, promoters, producers and impresarios from international performing arts markets and festivals can establish possible future partnerships. There will also be seminars to scale up the audience's knowledge on design business and how to become competitive in the local and international markets. CCP Do-It-Yourself Tour
Date: September 25 onwards
Venue: CCP Building
Tickets: FREE

Soon, walk-in visitors can have an informative tour around the CCP building for free with just a smartphone on their hands. With the help of QR codes put up inside the premises, visitors no longer need to be in large groups to avail a formal tour of the building. Know more about the different art pieces, theaters, and other trivias about the CCP with just a click away! The QR codes for the DIY Tour is set to launch this September 25.
