POTENTIAL, POTENCY, AND WOMEN PRINTMAKERS
Selection of Prints from the CCP 21st century Art MuseumĀ
(21AM) Collection

This exhibition draws its title from Imelda Cajipe Endaya’s essay featured in the Association of Pinoyprintmakers’ 50th-anniversary show, ā€œTirada: 50 Years of Philippine Printmaking 1968-2018.ā€ Endaya’s essay reflects on the vital role of women printmakers in the formation of the Philippine Association of Printmakers (PAP) in the 1970s and explores how female artistry enhances the practice of printmaking. By bringing together artworks from women artists in the 21AM Collection, this exhibition celebrates their practical values, including mastery of repetitive processes, precision, attention to detail, and subtle yet impactful experimentation in the creative process.
