Ventriloquist Ony Carcamo Holds 'Solo Dialogues'

Filipino ventriloquist Ony Carcamo performs in a live comedy act entitled "Solo Dialogues" on July 27, 9pm at the Silangan Hall of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP). The said show is part of the CCP Huling Hirit series.

Ony Carcamo takes center stage with his wooden friends. Watch and prepare to double over with laughter as Ony's main star, Mr. Parley (a perpetual drunk) blabbers his personal and impersonal stories and irreverent social commentaries and observations on the Pinoy life. His other partners that will surely thrill audiences are the 88 year-old Lola Belay and the wise-cracking boy Nonoy.

Aside from doing "solo dialogues" with his puppets, Ony also performs some of his favorite voice and ventriloquism tricks, such as the classic act of drinking a glass of wine while his puppet sings.

Believed by many to be the best voice-thrower in the country, Ony Carcamo has been doing comedy ventriloquism in schools, malls, clubs, bars, and hotels for many years now. He has opened shows for some of the country's top stand-up comics, including Tessie Tomas, Jon Santos, Candy Pangilinan, and Willie Nepomuceno. He is the first to have brought this ancient, and rarely-seen, theater art form to the local mainstream adult entertainment.

Customers can avail themselves of food and drinks by Barbara's for a consumable fee of P300 per ticket.

For ticket reservations, please contact the CCP Performing Arts Department at 832-2314 or 832-1125 loc. 1606/1607.
