It was a rockin’ block party and one for the books! 8Cuts Burger Blends, in the new restaurant hub UP Town Center, formally launched with a burger bash with a benefit, and campus personalities were all in attendance. Guests, who were treated to a fantastic burger meal, brought and donated their own meals for Operation Tulong Bayan for the Yolanda survivors: a meal for a meal!
The party was full of fun and young energy, with the presence of ADMU freshman and actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith, UP senior and actor Lucho Ayala, MVP Kiefer Ravena and his Blue Eagle teammates Von Pessumal, Nico Ilorde, Gwyne Capacio and Chris Newsome, JR Gallarza, Julio Silvestre and teammates from UP Basketball, ADMU Football MVP Mikko Mabanag, UAAP courtside reporters Katz Salao, Bea Fabregas, Mich Del Carmen and Tricia Robredo, star couple Gretchen Ho and Robi Domingo, musician Mateo Escueta, Anjo Silvoza and Andrew Panopio from popular OPM band She’s Only Sixteen. Arthur Tan a.k.a. DJ Aj spread good vibes with his awesome playlist and kept guests staying and wanting for more.
But the real star of the evening were the burgers, the juiciest hand blended burgers, with each patty going through the “blend-grind-press-griddle-build” process in 8Cuts’ unique open “Blend Kitchen.” Guests were encouraged to create their own “boss burger” or they could choose from the “Tributes” like the Piggy, the Rising Shroom, or the Hangover. Mouthwatering sides, milkshakes, margaritas and craft beers, were the perfect companions for the burgers. Another special treat was the Sundae Slider, a specially crafted dessert for 8Cuts by Sebastian’s Ice Cream.
As each guest left satisfied, everyone was in agreement that 8Cuts Burger Blends is now the most enjoyable, satisfying and coolest hang out in town!
