HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ is Finally Back for Season 7 and Every GOT Fan is Back From the Dead

Winter is finally here, people! Here are 8 things we want – and can’t wait – to see in this new season.

Winter is finally here!

Almost a year since its sixth season ended, Game of Thrones is finally back, and just like during the start of every season, fans of the show have returned from the drought, itching and dying to know what will happen to their favorite characters!

Here are some of the things we want – and can’t wait – to see in the new season:

1. Stark Family Reunion

Since Jon Snow and Sansa are finally reunited in Winterfell, we are yet to see Arya and Bran come back home (that is, if they decide to). We haven’t seen the Stark siblings together since

2. Sansa’s next move

When Jon Snow almost lost to Ramsay in the Battle of the Bastards, it was Sansa who saved the day with Littlefinger. However, when they reclaimed Winterfell, it was Jon who got all the praises while Sansa is seated in the background. Littlefinger entered the scene again and makes her think about all the attention his brother gets, and imagine what it would be like for her to sit on the throne.

3. Daenerys’ return to Kings Landing

With Tyrion Lannister, Varys, Yara and Theon Greyjoy, an Army of Unsullied, the Dothrakis, and her dragons right by her side, Daenerys is ready to sail home and take the Iron Throne. She’s been trying to go home since the first season so knowing that she has all she needs to take what’s hers, we just can’t wait for all the action to unfold!

4. Clash of the Two Queens

In the end of the 6th season, we see Cersei seated on the Iron Throne after blowing up the sept and the suicide of King Tommen. Sure, she is (technically) queen, but she has no one to support her – except for the Mountain, Qyburn, the Lannister army, and the houses which were sworn to support her. Daenerys, however, has the dragons, the Unsullied, and the Dothraki, so we have got to know whether Cersei has a chance in defending her power this season.

5. The Night King and the White Walkers

Now that the Three-Eyed Raven is dead, the only things that keep the Night King and the White Walkers away from Westeros are Bran and the Wall (which is protected by an enchantment). If the Wall comes down, the White Walkers will be able to enter the North and fulfill their goal of conquering and wreaking havoc in Westeros.

6. Arya’s Kill List

In Season 6, we see Arya checking off a person from her kill list– Walder Frey – and leaving her with 5 more people to kill to avenge the death of her family members. Whether or not she’s going to finish the list or go back home to Winterfell is something that we are yet to know in this season.

7. Gendry's Return

If there’s anyone more rightful to the throne than Cersei, it would be Gendry as he’s Robert Baratheon’s bastard. But he doesn’t know that yet, and we last saw him in Season 3, rowing his boat to King’s Landing as per Davos’ instruction. Season 7 might be the season where we finally get to see him again, and know if he did make it to Kings Landing.

* SPOILER ALERT*

8. Ed Sheeran on Game of Thrones

It was announced a few weeks ago that Ed Sheeran will be having a cameo appearance in the latest season. Today we're treated with a short clip of him singing while Arya Stark passes through on a horse.

Game of Thrones airs on HBO Philippines every Monday at 9AM, with a primetime encore at 9PM. The episodes are also available on HBO GO and HBO On Demand.
