Star Movies in partnership with Champion Detergent recently launched an on air promo, ‘My Champion Hero’ that looked for inspiring and heartwarming stories about unsung heroes of this generation. Of the many entries sent by viewers, the story ‘SUPER’ stood out and won a cash prize of Php 50,000.00.
‘Super’ is now a short film feature that recently premiered as the first locally made material on Star Movies. Successive airing dates are on July 25, Saturday at 8;55 pm, July 26 at 2;55 pm, July 29, Wednesday at 8;55pm, August 1, Saturday at 2;30 pm, August 5, Wednesday at 8;55 pm, August 8, Saturday at 8;55 pm, August 9, Sunday at 3;10 pm, August 12, Wednesday at 8;55 pm and August 15 at 8;55 pm.
‘Super’ is based on a true story about Doctor Jonas, a man who chose an unordinary life because of the demands of his profession as a pediatric Cardiologist. Faced with the choice between professional growth and staying true to his calling, Doctor Jonas chooses to stay in the country because of a promise he once made to a young patient named Evan that he will take care of his heart. Evan was born with a congenital heart disease and almost died. Raised by high-tech machines with extra breath and incredible powers, Evan is convinced that he is a super hero.
