With summer vacation in full swing, kids and kids-at-heart have more options to roundup their cartoon-watching diet. Turner’s three flagship channels in the Philippines – Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Toonami– invite everyone to rediscover the awesomeness of the animated world.

Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network, has green-lit the return of six of its top-performing, award-winning shows. Pop-culture phenomenon Adventure Time leads the charge, along with returning series Regular Show, The Amazing World of Gumball, Steven Universe, Clarence and Uncle Grandpa will further establish Cartoon Network’s position as the ultimate destination for animated comedy series for kids 5-12 and their families.

“Cartoon Network remains home to the biggest franchises, delivering comedy and adventure, while Boomerang’s line-up of iconic favorites and newly-acquired contemporary cartoons redefines the family co-viewing experience,” said Mark Eyers, Chief Content Officer – Kids Networks at Turner International Asia Pacific. “Our investment across the kids business on-screen and through our multi-platform presence ensures we are reaching kids anywhere, anytime.”

Cartoon Network will screen more than 150 hours of exclusive first-run content during the year on Cartoon Network including We Bare Bears, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Sonic Boom and Exchange Student Zero, a locally-developed series.

Further new original programming and specials include Regular Show: The Movie, Long Live the Royals, and a highly anticipated Adventure Time special mini-series.

Boomerang

Buoyed by a global re-launch last year, Boomerang will be airing exclusive first-run content in 2015 including new series of Inspector Gadget, Tom and Jerry, Be Cool, Scooby-Doo! Debuting in April, there is also the hotly-anticipated animated reboot of Rowan Atkinson’s famous creation, Mr. Bean, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

“The Cartoon Network and Boomerang brands are delivering premium content to Filipino kids and families. We always aim to create high impact opportunities for advertising partners, which ultimately drives results for clients through meaningful experiences,” added Eyers.

The success of Turner’s brands extends beyond television screens into the digital and mobile space with deeply immersive content. This includes a number of ingenious initiatives to display both Cartoon Network and Boomerang content. Being recognised as delivering compelling original content in innovative ways, Cartoon Network’s app presence is growing exponentially, with a number of new digital products that offer a deeper connection with kids scheduled to launch this year.

Cartoon Network Watch and Play first launched in Asia Pacific late 2013 and has already had almost 600,000 downloads. The revolutionary app for a new generation of multi-taskers allows users to simultaneously watch their favourite episodes and play games with a simple rotation of the device.

Toonami

Lastly, Toonami is the home of niche action-packed animated series like Dragon Ball Z, Wolverine and X-Men, and the Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. This channel is perfect for those who love engaging and riveting superhero shows. Coming up in the pipeline this June is Yokai Watch, a brand new anime series about a young boy who uncovers a strange timepiece that allows him to spot yo-kais, or friendly ghosts, in his neighborhood. Since its debut, the show has amassed a passionate and national dance craze in its home country Japan.
