The Angkor Wat is Cambodia's most popular tourist attraction, drawing in travelers and pilgrims from all around the world to Siem Reap province. This massive 12th century temple complex was named a World Heritage site in 1992, and its well-preserved ancient world is revered and highly photographed for its architectural and artistic structures. Most visitors wake up before dawn and head to the Angkor complex to witness the sun slowly rise, beautifying even more this sprawling stone city; this experience alone is said to be incredible–some even say life-changing.

Getting There: Direct flights are available from Manila to Siem Reap. As this is the top tourist spot of Cambodia, different packages to tour the temple complex are always available at hotels and other budget accommodations. Temple passes can be purchased at the booth office of Angkor Park.
Tip: As this is a religious site, visitors should dress accordingly to be able to explore selected temples inside the complex (skirts and trousers that go below the knees, shirts with sleeves or a scarf to use as cover-up). Don't forget your comfortable walking shoes and sunblock!
