BusTayo is a new app that lets you reserve bus seats

Problem getting a ticket? This app lets you reserve your bus seats prior to your trip.

BusTayo is a new website/mobile app which lets you reserve your bus seats prior to your trip. It eliminates the hassle of lining up for tickets or buying them at the terminal days before just to get a seat on a bus. This is a common problem for many travelers, both locals and tourists, especially during peak seasons – the long weekends and holidays.

The team behind this new technology is Recreo IT, a small group of 6 people with a vision. They want to make it easier for their fellow Filipinos (and even tourists!) to MOVE between cities and provinces via public transportation. Through this app, they hope to uplift tourism experiences in our country by providing an easier and more convenient way of reaching provinces in the Philippines through public transport. In this case, via bus.

The app is very user-friendly. Standard reservation fee charged is Php 50.00 regardless of the destination. Actual ticket price is paid at the bus station on the day of your trip. And the best part is that you don’t need a credit card to reserve a seat. It charges the fee to your mobile load, so all you need is a working Globe/TM number with ample credits. For now, the app only caters to Globe/TM subscribers but more pay options are in the works to accommodate every traveler.

The number of bus partners and trip locations available for reservation is growing at a fast pace, so do expect major developments in the coming months! So what are you waiting for? Download the app on Google Play Store or visit http://bustayo.ph/ to reserve seats for your next road trip!
