6 Fictional Characters Who Should Have Their Own Movie or Show

We've rooted for these fictional folks seriously, sometimes even more than the lead star of the movie or TV series. Here are the characters we love and think that totally deserve the top billing for their very own film or show.

Sometimes there is something more interesting going on with the sidekick, the comic relief, or the scheming villain in stories that intrigue us, and have us wanting more from them. If Maleficent can have her own spotlight, stealing the stage from Princess Aurora, then why not the rest of our favourite supporting characters?

We've rooted for these fictional folks seriously, sometimes even more than the lead star of the movie or TV series. Here are the characters we love and think that totally deserve the top billing for their very own film or show.

1. Roy Harper
Seen in: Arrow
Why we love him: He's portrayed by actor-model Colton Haynes, no stranger to supernatural scenarios as he is also a series regular of Teen Wolf. Add to that some archery and combat skills as Arrow's sidekick, a spin-off series for Roy Harper a.k.a. 'Speedy' can introduce more viewers to the massive DC Comics Universe–Teen Titans, Justice League, and more. We can never have too much superheroes on television!

2. Mitch and Cam
Seen in: Modern Family
Why we love them: Gloria, you're incredibly sexy and funny, but we just find Cameron and Mitchell's couple antics and family adventures with Lily just hilarious and heartwarming to watch. There's just something about Cam's dramatics and flair that has us hooked.

3. Severus Snape
Seen in: Harry Potter movie series
Why we love him: Portrayed brilliantly by Alan Rickman on-screen, Professor Snape is a sneering half-blood wizard with a mysterious history. His very own movie could explore and unfold the many layers of his past, from his early years up to being the most feared professor at Hogwarts.

4. Magneto
Seen in: X-Men movie series
Why we love them: There were talks of an 'X-Men Origins' version for Magneto, but it has been shelved. Too bad. Michael Fassbender and Sir Ian McKellen portray the iconic villain, isn't that reason enough for a Magneto film?

5. Leslie Chow
Seen in: The Hangover trilogy
Why we love him: This Asian gangster was annoyingly funny, and funnily annoying–played by the genius comedian (and licensed physician, FYI) Ken Jeong. Little is known about the mobster boss, so it's time to have Mr. Chow to have his own movie. Holla!

6. Loki
Seen in: Thor and Avengers movie series
Why we love them: Yet another great example of a villain we love to hate. Tom Hiddleston's fan-base runs deep, that many a petition has been made for a spin-off film about the super-villain he portrays. Is it the accent, the long dark hair, or his piercing stare? Whatever it is, he made it quite difficult for us to cheer for his hunky chiseled brother, who also happens to be the crown prince of Asgard. Come on Marvel, get working on more screen-time for Loki.
