The ARSAFEST SPF+63 is a three-day event that starts on April 6 and ends on April 8, 2016. It is the 5th ARSAFEST since the event’s debut in 2011. ARSAFEST’s goal is to showcase the diversity found in the Residence Halls and also exhibit the different cultures the Philippines has to offer.

Instead of the usual five-day fiesta of Filipino fun, ARSAFEST this year will only be three. But heads, Chan and Deiparine made sure that each day and each night would be packed with activities. During the day, it would be the regular day time performers and allowing people from across the university to visit and enjoy the Bazaar.

Performers include in house musicians, Lance Salazar and N507 and local Filipino bands like The Ransom Collective, Jensen and the Flips, and Over October. It would just be a night of live music and friends. “Sundown being almost like a tribute to the previous ARSAFESTs, because that chill night of live music was how ARSAFEST started off 6 years ago.

On April 5, Filipino fashion, music, and art will come together for the launch night of SAMIN which is a free multimedia exhibit.

The exhibit will be an intermingling of art and fashion that invites viewers to think about their perception of Filipino fashion in a contemporary context and how that reflects upon their self and society. The exhibit will feature a strong tandem between the Clothing Technology discipline’s exploration of the theme and the artists whose artworks and individual identities have been brought to the table to showcase the diverse talents found in the country.
