Check out the amazing sales and events happening this weekend!

Since 2006, Art in the Park has gathered together a diverse group of galleries, art schools, independent art spaces, and collectives for the country’s most significant affordable art fair.

Set in the relaxed and casual atmosphere of Jaime Velasquez Park in the Philippines’ financial capital of Makati City, Art in the Park keeps to its mission of making the visual arts accessible to everyone.

It has been more than 60 years since Frida passed and yet many of the challenges that faced the iconic artist is still present in society today especially in the area of women’s rights.

So Blue House: Philippines is a homage to Frida and her everlasting legacy while still looking forward to the future to fight that same fight that Frida was passionate about. The show will feature original artworks that are inspired by the painter and her body of work. The show will feature local artists such as Anjo Bolarda, Elaine Bobadilla, Ren Quinio and Dee Jae Paeste and will be held at the Vinyl on Vinyl Gallery in Manila.

Spearheading Blue House: Philippines is Angelina Lourdes, an independent creative from Singapore. What inspired her to organize and curate this exhibition was her recent well received project ‘Dia De Muertos Singapore’, Singapore’s first and largest Mexican Day of the Dead celebration last year that featured a Frida Kahlo art exhibition component.

Woman Ascend: Women’s Month Exhibit

Students, faculty and staff – male and female alike – can have their pictures taken and printed on the spot. Then, they will write statements about womanhood, women empowerment, and post them on the exhibit. This project is a part of an effort to raise women empowerment among college students, and involve the male population in doing so. The organization believes that with gender equality in the midst of our minds, we can work together more harmoniously towards a stronger country.

The exhibit ultimately aims to empower young women, and raise the awareness of males in the issue of gender equality. It challenges the male and female communities to set aside their differences in order to work more harmoniously towards a stronger UP community.
