Mechanics

1. This contest is open to all amateur photographers residing in the Philippines. Photographs taken with any brand of digital camera are accepted. Scanned photographs are not eligible as contest entries.
2. Contestants may send in more than one entry.
3. Please upload a snapshot which you think represents summer at its best. For a special twist, an exclusive award is given to the best photo showing Summer in style with your Cyber-shot camera. Send us a photo with an attitude! Your creative Sony Cyber-shot brand intrusion can be in the form of product, logo, drawing and the like. With your Sony Cyber-shot's special features like Intelligent Auto Mode, you are sure to take the best photos in a breeze. Squeeze those creative juices and leave the shooting to your Cyber-shot. Who knows, you might just reap the best gadget & getaway package!
   • Images should be in JPEG format.
   • The file size of the image should not exceed 1000 kb.
   • Only minor adjustments are allowed: crop, sharpen, levels, brightness and contrast. Additionally, the biggest no-no's are (1) You may NOT add new components/objects to the image. (2) You may NOT use healing or clone stamps. Basically these two items mean that you may not add or erase any part of your image.
   • The photo's EXIF data (Exchangeable image file format) may not be tampered nor removed. It contains needed information about your camera's settings and brand. Some ways of preserving the EXIF data are to save image files correctly and to avoid using photo editing and resizing programs. Please check your program on how it can preserve EXIF data.
4. Along with the photo, please submit a title and a short caption.
5. To qualify, submit your photo along with your name, cell phone number and valid e-mail address.
6. All photos which will be submitted should be owned and have been taken by the contestant.
7. All photos which will be submitted should not have been previously entered in any other contest; or published in any online and other form of media. Photo entries from previous Sun, Sand & Snapshots promotions are not eligible for the 2009 promo.
8. The best pictures relevant to the theme will be selected from the pool of entries. Photos will be judged based on the following criteria: 30% Innovation & Creativity, 30% Message & Relevance to Theme, 30% Image and Technical Quality and 10% Overall Impression.
9. The winner will be chosen as follows:
   • ClickTheCity employees will be asked to short list 20 entries which they think best suits the theme.
   • The ClickTheCity content team will further cut the list down to ten entries.
   • A group of photographers (judges) will review the ten shortlisted entries, deliberate and finally choose the lucky winners.
   • A special award will also be given to the best picture taken using a Sony Cyber-shot (My Summer, My Cyber-shot). ClickTheCity will furnish Sony a list of all qualified entries for the special category.
   • Winners of special awards/prizes are still eligible to win the overall/grand prize.
10. Uploading of photos is up to June 15, 2009.
11. Prizes are as follows:
    • Sun, Sand and Snapshots 2009 Winner: Trip to Boracay for Four (with Hotel Accommodation) plus One (1) Crumpler Backpack (King Single).

Announcement of Winners / Claiming of Prizes

1. Winners will be selected at the end of the promo and will be notified through e-mail. Additionally, ClickTheCity will also come up with a feature article in the website announcing the winners of the promo.
2. Winners should claim their prize within the specified dates indicated in the e-mail notification, otherwise these would be forfeited in favor of Surf Shop, Inc.
3. Winners can claim their prizes during office hours (8 AM to 5 PM, Mon-Fri) at:
