SessiOnroad

It's rare to find a band that just 'gets it.' One that's self-deprecating without being ridiculous, a group that waxes philosophical without sounding pretentious. That's why ClickTheCity has picked sessiOnroad to be our very first Featured Artist on our brand-spanking-new Music section.
The band, comprised of Hannah Romawac (vocals and rhythm guitar), Richard Carendang (bass), J.V. Romawac (percussions and back-up vocals), Chavi Romawac (drums), and Coy Pacidozia (lead guitar), never forgets their eponymous roots, yet they aren't limited by it either. After the success of 'Suntok sa buwan,' sessiOnroad released their 3rd album, 'Bakit hindi?' this past August which has the lead hit single, 'Blanko'- a mantra to nothingness, emptiness, a cluttered mind, and a lover's loss.
Sounds deep, right?
'We don't take ourselves too seriously,' says Chavi, the resident kuya (older brother) of the group. And it shows. Despite their success in the local band scene and their legions of fans - both in the tangible world and in cyberspace - they remain humble and preoccupied as they dabble in other arenas - as is clearly shown by Coy, who may have read one-too-many Buddhist pamphlets before ClickTheCity met up with him; he was still lingering in a blissful state of non-attachment. But it seems like whatever the distractions or interruptions of their personal life may be, sessiOnroad keeps playing sweet, moody, sometimes desperate, sometimes ecstatic music. All between bouts of Buhay's (Chavi's toddler) gleeful squeals on his dad's lap, the doting of Coy's enigmatic girlfriend and their fits of laughter - lots and lots of it.
When sessiOnroad comes together, it's clear that they're exactly where they're supposed to be.
