Spirit of ’67 has indeed gone a long way. From a special performance for it’s homecoming, the group has evolved into a well oiled machine performing regularly at Conway’s Bar of Makati Shangrila for the past eight years. The magic of Spirit of ’67 has not waned as the demand for true retro music continues; each gig is an experience meant to be lived and reminisced.



Parading a new batch of singers backed up by the tight sound of the rhythm section, the band continues to deliver the retro music with the same authentic and unique repertoire of songs it has been known for all these years. Adding glitter to the group is the sultry and very talented vocalist Kookoo Gonzales who provides a unique style to retro music. No neophyte in the entertainment industry, Kookoo gives out beautiful renditions of Whitney Houston, Irene Cara, Diana Ross and Donna Summer hits. With Kookoo’s singing flair and charming appeal plus the equally talented male vocalists Tony Zabalza, Zoe Zuniga and Charlie Ysmael you will surely become regular clients of this band.

This coming March 4, 11, April 1 & 8, they will come up with their first solo concert which will be held at Teatrino Promenade, Greenhills at 8:30pm. Entitled “Spirit of ’67: Reinvented”, this concert will showcase the immense talent and versatility of this band. Musical genius of retro music Norie Z. Sayo will be the musical director of this concert. With this explosive combination of talents it is one concert you should definitely not miss.
