Lights Out

A supernatural horror film directed by David F. Sandberg in his major directorial debut and written by Eric Heisserer, it follows the story a young woman protecting herself and her little brother from a bloodthirsty supernatural being that lurks in the dark. The film stars Teresa Palmer,Gabriel Bateman, Alexander DiPersia, Billy Burke and Maria Bello.


 

Star Trek Beyond

A sci-fi action film based on the series of the same name created by Gene Roddenberry, it is the thirteenth film in the Star Trek film franchise and the third installment in the reboot series after Star Trek Into Darkness. The USS Enterprise are halfway into their mission and encounter an unstoppable wave of aliens forcing them to leave the ship. Stranded on an unknown planet with no communication from the base, the crew must defend themselves to survive.

Genius

A biographical drama film directed by Michael Grandage, it is based on the 1978 National Book Award-winner Max Perkins: Editor of Genius by A. Scott Berg. The film follows a writer and his connections with a popular publisher who have previously published works by great American writers like Ernest Hemingway and F. Scott Fitzgerald.  The film stars Colin Firth, Jude Law, Nicole Kidman, Dominic West and Guy Pearce.


 

Green Room

A horror-thriller film written and directed by Jeremy Saulnier, it follows a punk bank who find themselves attacked by neo-Nazi skinheads after witnessing a murder at a remote bar in the Oregon woods.


 

Eye In The Sky

The film is about Col. Katherine Powell who is a military officer facing legal, ethical and political dilemmas presented by a British-led drone warfare targeting known terrorists and civilians are endangered by it. It stars Helen Mirren, Aaron Paul, Alan Rickman, and Barkhad Abdi. 


 

Cell

A science fiction horror film based on the 2006 novel of the same name by Stephen King, the film is about Clay (John Cusack) witnessing a chaotic scene when an electronic signal turns people violent. In the midst of all the destruction, he attempts to go to his family to find his son. In order to succeed, Clay teams up with a train driver (Samuel L. Jackson) to battle the murderous people in the apocalyptic madness.
