The Revenant

The film is inspired by the experiences of a frontiersman, Hugh Glass, on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s in Montana and South Dakota who fights for survival after being brutally attacked by a bear and left for dead by member of his own hunting team. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Domhnall Gleeson and Will Poulter.

 

Pride And Prejudice And Zombies

If the classic Jane Austen tale makes you yawn, maybe something exciting is missing in the story? In the film, the heroine, Elizabeth Bennet (Lily James) who is a master of martial arts and weaponry, protects her family and town after a zombie outbreak and she is not ready to put her sword down for a man.

400 Days

A psychological sci-fi film revolving around four astronauts who are signed up on a simulated mission to a distant planet to test the different pyschological effects of deep space travel. Nearing the end of their four hundred day mission, they begin to feel that something is wrong.

 

The Danish Girl

A British biographical drama based on the 2000 fictional novel of the same name by David Ebershoff and inspired by the lives of Danish artists, Lili Elbe and Gerda Wegener. Their marriage and art evolve as they journey though Lili's life as one of the first known recipients of sex reassignment surgery.

 

Dirty Grandpa

Starring Robert De Niro and Zac Efron, an uptight guy who is soon to be married to a controlling woman is tricked into driving his "dirty" grandfather who is a former Army Lieutenant-Colonel to Florida for spring break. From crazy frat parties, epic karaoke night and bar fights, his nuptials are suddenly in danger. On the journey, they realize a lot of things from one another and form a bond which they never had.

 

Accidental Love

A comedy film starring  Jessica Biel, Jake Gyllenhaal, Catherine Keener, James Marsden, Tracy Morgan and James Brolin, it is a story about Alice (Biel) who is a small-town waitress who is accidentally shot in the head with nail gun. Without health insurance, she is unable to have the nail removed leading to mood swings as a result of brain damage. She then heads to Washington, DC to campaign for those with unique injuries with the support of a sexy senator (Gyllenhaal).

 

Lakbay2Love

Directed Ellen Ongkeko-Marfil, the film stars Dennis Trillo, Solenn Heussaff and Kit Thompson. The film is set around the time of Yolanda (Typhoon Haiyan) and tells the story of Lianne (Heussaff) who is a videographer hurting from a breakup. To help her move on, a friend convinces her to do a project on biking and the environment. She then meets JR (Trillo) who is an environmentalist and they fall in love.
