From June 1 until July 31, dads and their families can indulge in premium Cantonese and regional Chinese cuisine laced with nutritional and health benefits at Crystal Dragon’s “A Celebration of Special Exotic Flavors” featuring rare and wholesome ingredients, tonic soups, and nutrient-enriched dishes.

Available for lunch from 12 noon to 3pm and dinner from 6pm to 11pm, an exotic a la carte menu prepared by Chinese culinary Executive Chef Bong Jun Choi features dishes such as Double Boiled Soft-Shelled Turtle Soup with Cordyceps Flowers and Wolfberry at PhP 680 per person, composed of wild turtles, cordyceps flowers, wolfberry, ginger sliced and dried ginseng. Soft-shelled turtles are rich in protein and high in calcium, and have an abundance of vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, phosphorus and zinc. B vitamins aid the processing of food into energy, which is advantageous to those who engage in sports or rigorous activities.

The Double Boiled Crocodile Tail Soup with Morel Mushroom, Ginseng and Herbs for PhP 780 per person is made of crocodile tail, ginseng sliced, morel mushroom, and Sa Sam herbs root. Crocodile Soup is good for the heart, lungs, and blood circulation and is known to cure asthma and cough.

Braised Shredded Sea Treasure with Python in Broth priced at PhP 800 per person has shredded python, shredded sea cucumber, dried scallop, mushroom and herbs. Snake soup has medicinal benefits including the cure of bodily ailments, blood nourishment, improvement of skin quality and increased energy levels.

Pan Fried Crocodile Tail with Five Spices and Onions goes for PhP 1,280 per person and includes crocodile tail, five spices powder, mushrooms, sliced friend garlic, dried onions and ginger juice. Crocodile tail can enhance physical fitness and improve skin condition, reduce and delay the appearance of wrinkles and skin allergies. If mixed with Chinese medicine, it can be used for the treatment of cirrhosis of liver and anti-tumor.

Made up of sliced crocodile, chayote, bamboo piths, shredded young ginger and red date, the Steamed Sliced Crocodile with Chayote, Bamboo Pith and Red Date priced at PhP 1,380 per person contains low-fat, low-cholesterol and high-protein meat and is beneficial to the heart, lungs, blood circulation and can cure asthma and cough.

The Braised Soft-Shelled Turtle and Abalone with Brown Bean Sauce in Clay Pot at PhP 1,480 per person has turtle, abalone, basil leaves, mint leaves, onions, ginger, pork belly, mushrooms and brown bean sauce. Abalone is believed to promote healthy eyes, alleviate colds, reduce fluid retention and improve blood circulation. It contains vitamin E, B12, selenium and omega-3.

Wok Fried Leg with Wild Ginger and Sichuan Dried Pepper for PhP 1,380 per person contains frog leg, wild ginger sliced, spring onions, Sichuan dried pepper and rice wine. Frog legs are rich in protein, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin A and potassium which can lower the risk of high blood pressure, stroke and heart disease.

For those who wish to improve the quality of their skin and their overall complexion, the Stewed Fish Maw with Wild Yam and Mushroom at PhP 1,680 per person has collagen-rich fish maw, which is even said to not only improve the skin of those who eat it, but also those who are pregnant can enjoy the benefits of this delicious dish which includes portions of wild yam, mushroom, ginger and Chinese cooking wine.

The prices quoted are inclusive of VAT and subject to local tax and service charge. During this period, Crystal Dragon’s a la carte menu selections will also be available.

Noodl8

For noodle aficionados, City of Dreams Manila’s 24-hour noodle bar called Noodl8 offers a basket of Red Bean Buns for only PhP 98 for every order of a “Create Your Own Noodle Soup” selection throughout the month of June.

The Tasting Room and Nobu

The well-loved dishes at these two other signature restaurants at the integrated resort will please the palate of the foodie dad, who can compose his own degustation menu of five to seven courses at a set price at The Tasting Room; or feast on an Omakase menu or favorite Nobu creations.
