F&F: One of Britain’s Hottest Fashion Brands Finally Hits Manila

The SSI Group continues to bring the world’s best fashion closer to home with the launch of British Fashion brand, F&F.

The SSI Group continues to bring the world’s best fashion closer to home with the launch of British Fashion brand, F&F.

The British-inspired international fashion brand offers a broad range of affordable fashion that is distinguished by its quality, fashionable product with broad appeal, outstanding value for money, and exclusively designed, ethically sourced product.

F&F is the private label clothing brand owned and distributed by multinational retail chain Tesco, one of the biggest retailers in the world. High street designers and buyers were brought in to create fantastic collections at affordable prices. F&F makes the Philippines its next stop after over 2,100 locations worldwide where it has been well received by customers. The brand is found in 25 countries worldwide through Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Here in the Philippines, the flagship store opened last December 12, 2014 in Glorietta 3. Since then F&F has become a top selling brand among fashionable men, women, and children in the country.

F&F’s new Spring/Summer 2015 collection introduces an understated feel this season. There’s a chic practicality across all of the collections for Womens, Mens and Kidswear – all have a utilitarian appeal with a laid back attitude. Silhouettes are relaxed with loose-fitting separates, but worn with the fearlessness of a global traveller.

For the Womenswear, you can expect light and neutral hues contrast with khaki and stone. Long-line waistcoats and flared trousers are practical and approachable, worn this season with bandeau tops. There’s a focus on ageless style, with real investment pieces like a khaki trench-coat or utility parka in camel whilst the kimono returns in deepest navy. More urban collections with sports-inspired details blur the line between the office and the gym – all-in-one shorts suits, jogger pants and neoprene shift dresses hint at an active lifestyle. Art continues to influence fashion in street style ranges, with statement dresses in contemporary prints and color blocked accessories that add drama. There’s a delicacy to lingerie for Spring/Summer, with sheer panels, bow details and intricate embroidery on pieces in navy and cream.

Menswear ushers in a more relaxed style of Mens formalwear (think crisp white shirts worn untucked with lightweight bomber jackets in orange, ideal for desert trails). The color palette is blue based, with shades ranging from dark indigo blue through slate mid tones to paler chambray. A design classic that returns for Spring, the lightweight knitted polo in white is the ultimate in summer casualwear. Continuing the laid-back aesthetic, there’s a playful and inventive feel to tailoring with preppy suits in pastel colors, digital prints and fabric mixes. Traditional Prince of Wales checks are refreshed in summer brights (there’s much more emphasis on bright color this season).

There’s a romantic feel to Girlswear with pretty tea dresses in floral prints with volume swing skirts and tulle dresses for summer. Casual ranges see jumpsuits and soft blazers in chiffon with separates in nautical colors of red, white and the color of the season, navy. There’s a sports luxe feel to sweats and rib tees in monochrome, whilst the black biker jacket is the definitive in layering for Spring.

Layering is the foundation for Boyswear, with a spirit of travel through utility cargos and textured knits paired with madras check shirts and shorts in hot, sand blasted colors and evening blues. Casual pieces are inspired by palm prints with bright tropical colors and there’s a poolside feel to printed photographic tees and acid washed shorts and jeans.

In the Philippines, F&F is exclusively distributed by SSI Group, Inc. – and is located at Glorietta 3, Century City Mall, SM North Edsa, SM Clark, Wellworth Department Store at Fairview Terraces, Limketkai Mall Cagayan de Oro, Veranza Mall General Santos and Ayala Center Cebu.
