Foodies, food athletes, and Japanophiles, rejoice as leading Japanese restaurant chain SumoSam mounts a Tempura Eating Tournament. Get your appetites ready from February 28 to March 21, 5 pm-6 pm, for four Saturdays of food competition.
The contest is slated on Feb 28 for SumoSam Greenbelt 3; March 7 for SumoSam Powerplant Mall; March 14 for SumoSam SM North EDSA, and March 21 for SumoSam Gateway.

Participants must be at the tournament venue one hour before the start of the competition. Contenders will have to finish five bowls of Sumo Sam’s regular tendon, and the fastest eater wins.
The third place winner will win P2,500 worth of Sumo Sam gift certificates, while the second place winner will receive P3,500 worth of Sumo Sam gift certificates. The champion for each tournament date walks away with P5,000 of gift certificates plus one year supply of tendon.
