The Far Eastern University (FEU) Film Society will be having its annual Sinepiyu x Video Open, a short film competition of different universities around the metro this October.
Sinepiyu x Video Open is a joint event where the organization showcases the final requirement of the FEU – Department of Mass Communication students taking up Cinema 103 – Film Production class while the Video Open is open to all graduate and undergraduate student filmmakers of the Philippines.
The film competition is organized by FEU Film Society in Coordination with the FEU President's Committee on Culture (PCC).
Registration will be through online application and the last day of submission of entries is on October 8, 6 p.m. Applicants may send accomplished application forms to feufilmsociety@gmail.com and entry film may be in Filipino or any regional language/dialect, provided that it has English subtitles.
Participation in the festival is open to digital short-feature narratives and experimental films only. One entry per person and a group member of one production team cannot join another. Meanwhile, to be eligible for participation, films must be produced from October 2013 onwards and must fulfill the following conditions:
– Running time including credits not more than 20 minutes of length
– Entries must be submitted in a short brown envelope labelled outside with the TITLE, PRODUCTION STAFF NAMES and TOTAL RUNNING TIME and must include the following:

A one-page synopsis of the film

2 pieces of 5”x7” film stills (printed AND soft copy, in .jpeg format, may be in color or black

Official trailer in DVD or CD format (less than 1 minute)

Publicity materials (posters)

One registration form per entry.
Duly accomplished films may be submitted at the drop box located at the Department of Communication, 2nd Floor, Arts Building, Far Eastern University – Manila. Violations of the rules of eligibility for participants constitute a valid ground for disqualification.
