Enchanted Kingdom's New Sky Wizardry Champion Announced

The skies of Santa Rosa, Laguna turned into a garden of lights during the night of Enchanted Kingdom’s (EK) 14th anniversary as six contenders from different parts of the Philippines vied for the Grand Sky Wizardry Championship.



The activity was in line with Enchanted Kingdom’s thrust to support Filipino fireworks manufacturers. All participants came from different parts of the archipelago.

Sky Glitter of Bulacan bagged 2nd place taking home a trophy, EK certificates and Php30,000 cash with Sky Wizardry 2008 winner Pyrohaven also of Bulacan winning 1st place with a trophy, EK certificates and Php50,000. The 2009 Sky Wizardry Champion and new title holder of Enchanted Kingdom’s Annual Sky Wizardry Competition was Sanicom Fireworks of General Santos City who won the plum prize of Php100,000 cash, trophy and EK certificates.



The event was graced by a powerful mix of judges composed of international singing sensation, Arnel Pineda, boxing superstar Nonito Donaire, GMA7 CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon, “The Maestro” Ryan Cayabyab, composer Tats Faustino, US Embassy Representative Tyrena Holley, Pepsi’s VP Felix Yu, Laguna Governor Teresita Lazaro, mother of Sta. Rosa, Laguna mayor Josefina Arcillas and TV personality Winnie Monsod.

The program was made more vivid and sparkling as Enchanted Kingdom dancers wowed the guests with their world-class presentations.

The anticipation of the crowd was overwhelming especially when Platinum Fireworks, the official fireworks provider of EK, rendered a part of their winning entry in the Macau International Fireworks Competition. Platinum Fireworks won 3rd place with Japan as 2nd placer and Italy coming in at 1st place.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement as park goers gathered to witness the spectacular show of lights making EK a truly magical place. As what Winnie Monsod said, "This is my first time at Enchanted Kingdom but it definitely won’t be the last.”

As Enchanted Kingdom turns another year old, it vows to continue its legacy of giving wholesome entertainment to all park goers by showcasing the Filipino talent.
