A FEW FACTS ABOUT BLE
Ble (Mπλέ) is the Greek word for colour Blue. Blue along with white, are Greece’s national colours, representing its sea and sky. Sea which comes in all shades of blue, and has white foam on her waves and Sky which most time of the year is Blue and white fluffy clouds.
It all started as an idea when we realized that among the colorful restaurant scene of Manila, there wasn’t any real Greek restaurant. Maybe inspired by Greek cuisine, but not real authentic Greek.
Then it took us a year to locate proper ingredients and starting to introduce the food through catering service and to the best and most prestigious weekend markets of the capital, Salcedo and Legaspi. Eventually the good acceptance of the food, led to the opening of what we call the “small Ble”, on 188 Aguirre ave., BF Homes, Paranaque, in May 2014. It was a success!
So in order to accommodate our increasing customers, we researched the area and 8 months later, in November 2014 we opened Ble+, or the “Big Ble” as we call it among us, on 410 El Grande ave., BF Homes, Paranaque. And we made it exactly as we wanted. From the moment you enter the garden, you feel like entering a house in Greek country.
Now making one more step, we opened Ble in the multi-culti food scene of Makati.
All our food is family recipes, passed from mother to daughter in the last 80 years.
Almost everything is cooked or grilled upon ordering.
We do not use microwave oven. We heat everything traditionally, in ovens, pans and pots.
Everything is made from scratch. No shortcuts, NO MSG, no prepared canned or frozen meals. No artificial flavouring, bullions, cubes, etc. We use Real Spices and Herbs to flavor our food.
We make our own yogurt, our own pitta bread and our baklava is made with hand flattened fyllo pastry.
We use the best available ingredients for your experience:
- Our lamb is Australian grass fed lamb
- Our Feta cheese is from Greece
- Our Olive Oil is Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) from Greece or selected regions of Turkey
