Popular America’s Diner, Denny’s, officially opens its first 24/7, 168-seater restaurant in the Philippines at Uptown Parade in Taguig City today, October 7.
Founded in 1953 in California, Denny's is one of the largest full-service restaurant chains in the world. They have over 1,700 stores worldwide to date and now, Manila too will finally have a taste of a real American diner serving up all-time breakfast favorites. Like its other branches, Denny's in Manila will be open 24/7 so you can get your breakfast food cravings at any time of the day.
The new Denny's features a warm and welcoming atmosphere where families and friends can hold get-togethers. You can never go wrong with classic American comfort food you can enjoy 24 hours a day, seven days a week!
Before you dig into your big breakfast, why not order the Pancake Puppies (P195): six pancake soft mini balls tossed in cinnamon sugar served with maple syrup for dipping. Crunchy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside! If you want something fresh and healthy before indulging, the Chicken Cranberry Apple Salad (P395) should be on top of your list. It has grilled seasoned chicken breast, glazed pecans, apple slices and dried cranberries on top of a bed of spring mix tossed in honey balsamic vinaigrette.
What's a breakfast place when there's no good old fluffy pancake? Indulge on the Cream Cheese Cinnamon Pancake Plate (P395), a serving of two buttermilk pancakes drizzled with cinnamon sauce and cream cheese icing served with two eggs of your choice plus two strips of bacon and hash browns. One of their best-sellers and a must-try, the Choco Overload Peanut Butter Pancake Plate (P395) could serve as dessert! Two buttermilk pancakes with chocolate and white chocolate chips topped with hot fudge and drizzled with peanut butter sauce. If you think it's sinful enough, wait until you see the sides it comes with! It's served with two eggs plus two strips of bacon and hash browns.
On to sandwiches! If you want a little kick on the classic burger, order the Spicy Sriracha Burger (P495) which is a sriracha seasoned beef patty topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, pickled jalapeños, creamy sriracha sauce, lettuce, tomato, red onions, served on a brioche bun and a side of fries. A personal favorite, The Grand Slamwich (P395) has two scrambled eggs, crumbled sausage, bacon, shaved ham and American cheese on potato bread grilled with a maple spice spread leaving its surface with a crunch that's addictive.
Make sure you still have room for dessert! Denny's Chocolate Lava Cake (P295) which is a warm, rich chocolate cake filled with molten chocolate topped with premium vanilla ice cream is definitely to die for. Since almost everything on the menu is good for sharing, why not order another dessert? The Caramel Apple Crisp (P295) is a dish of warm apple crisp topped with premium vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce sprinkled with powdered sugar. Best for those who are fans of warm and cold combo desserts!
Everybody loves breakfast food especially when it's available all throughout the day, however, The Bistro Group made sure Denny's will also be lauded by the Filipino palate. According to Ronald Olaes, Denny's Philippines' Director or Operations, 90% of the menu comes from the U.S. outlet and 10% are of Filipino favorites like the Arroz Caldo, Chicken and Pork Adobo, Ribeye Bistek Tagalog, Crispy Bangus Belly, Lucban Longganisa and so much more. Olaes also notes that their planning to open 10 more branches in the country in 10 years with the second outlet opening in Santa Rosa, Laguna in 2 weeks.
