A modern Japanese restaurant opened its doors last week in Edades Tower, Rockwell. For those seeking refined, neo-Japanese dining, it is your new must-visit in the metro.

Hajime Crossover Cuisine is currently in soft operations, opening their doors last March 1. Hajime translates to the word 'beginning' in Japanese, an apt term to describe a new fine dining destination which has elegant interior and a desgustacion menu. Manila is slowly but steadily becoming a strong homebase for gastronomes wanting to entice their tastebuds with exquisite flavors, birthing many degustacion concepts and fine dining restaurants in the metro. As Hajime's tagline reads, they want to let you taste the new beginning for Japanese cuisine.

They currently offer only one Degustation menu (P3,800/head) which has six courses and amouse bouche, and as tasting menu goes, this offering of Hajime is supposed to showcase the best that their chef has to offer, a teaser of more food options to come as they add more food and drink in their menu. Some of the dishes part of the soft opening degustation include A5 Matsuzaka Wagyu Steak (a grade of beef said to be the best in Japan) served on Zucchini and Capsicum Risotto, and Wagyu Beef Sushi.
