About the Event
Dine Philippines goes to The Heart of Bicol, Naga City, Camarines Sur! With this year’s theme being “Think Big, With Inspiring Great Food Ideas”, the 2-day event will be held at Avenue Plaza Hotel, Naga City on November 17 and 18, 2016.
The Philippines’ first food business caravan tours around to different parts of the country such as Cavite, Davao, Cebu, Iloilo, Baguio, Laoag, Pampanga, and of course, Camarines Sur.
On Day 1, DINE Philippines will feature talks from a powerhouse cast of gastronomy experts and culinarians. Chef Myke Tatung Sarthou, the executive chef of Agos and bestselling book author of Philippine Cookery: From Heart to Platter, will talk about “Menu Creativity and Profitability”. Guillermo Ramos, the founder of Republic Taste Network, will talk about “Designing a Dining Experience that Sells”. Jairus Ferrer, owner of Pronic and iFarms, will talk about “Propagating Urban Gardening”. And Gejo Jimenez, the farmer and owner of Malipayon Farms, will talk about “Farming Your Way to the Restaurant”.
On Day 2, a cooking showdown featuring executive chefs from Manila and Naga, will feature local ingredients from Bicol using traditional cooking techniques. Our cast of chefs include: Chef Louise Mabulo, Junior Masterchef finalist and the Executive chef of Culinary Lounge and Chef Doy Sto. Domingo, owner and executive chef of Doy's and Grissini, and a chef consultant to other dining establishments.
