About the Event
With this year’s theme: “Panahon ng Milenyo: Rebolusyon ng Integridad at Prinsipyo tungo sa Tugatog ng Tagumpay”, SIGABO: Ang Ikawalong Yugto shall be focusing on the potential of today’s millenials to be the breed of progressive and innovative leaders that our country is in dire need of. Witness this once a year spectacle at the Asamblea Magna, Tanghalang Pasigueno, Pasig City on October 22, 2016.
For the past 59 years, Children’s Museum and Library Incorporated (CMLI)—a non- stock, non-profit youth-oriented organization that aims to bolster the skills and ignite the flame of leadership in the hearts and minds of the Filipino Youth—has continuously devoted their time and effort in ensuring that these youngsters are well-aware of their capacities and capabilities as catalysts of relevant change through conducting various conventions, competitions and leadership trainings all over the country. In line with this, the Junior Council Regional Executive Board National Capital Region (JC-REB NCR), the organization’s youth arm in spreading its ideals to the region, will be administering its flagship project entitled SIGABO.
Now on its 8th year, SIGABO, has continuously advocated the importance of promoting our culture, strengthening the Filipino spirit and using the voice of the youth to achieve greatness. It is therefore no surprise that SIGABO is considered to be the most prominent, most sought-after and the grandest speech choir competition in the region.
