About the Event
Megaworld Lifestyle Malls and the Asian Food Channel (AFC) invite all food lovers, aspiring chefs and cooking enthusiasts to a fun-filled culinary event featuring internationally-recognized chef Anna Olson. The Canada-based chef returns to the Philippines to conduct live baking demo at the Eastwood Mall Atrium on July 16, 4PM. During her visit, Chef Olson, a pastry chef by training, will be exhibiting her craft, not only with pastries and other baked goods but also with her widened repertoire of culinary dishes.
Fans of Chef Olson, the host Food Network Canada’s top cooking programs “Bake with Anna Olson” and “Sugar”, will get the chance to witness and learn firsthand from the famed chef as she display her love of the kitchen and demonstrate her cooking technique.
She will also share her diverse and rich-tasting dishes such as Chilled Grilled Seafood Salad, Sweet Potato Soup with Coconut Milk and Ginger, and desserts naming Charlotte Royale, Strawberry cream tarts and the Warm Chocolate Orange Truffle with Salted Caramel Sauce and French Vanilla Ice Cream, among others.
As an advocate of the farm-to-table movement, Chef Anna Olson will surely guide attending cooking connoisseurs on choosing ingredients and teach them to work under the motto “what grows together, goes together”.
Aspiring chefs are encouraged to come to the event as Chef Olson believes that anyone can cook or bake. “It's just like golf. You're never good on your first try, but you get better as you go along. All one needs to make it as a baker, are patience, practice, and respect for the science of baking,” said Chef Olson as she dispelled the fear of first-timers not able to make their cooking or baking right.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Chef Olson grew up in Toronto when their family migrated to the Canadian city. She claims it was her grandmother that influenced her love of cooking and baking. As host of Food Network’s “Bake with Anna Olson”, “Fresh with Anna Olson”, and “Sugar”, she has earned a loyal following in over 190 countries and can now be watched on the Oh Yum YouTube Channel. She continuously gives contributions in developing the Canadian food culture and is currently wed to Chef Michael Olson.
