About the Event

As the summer temperature reaches sizzling point, more and more Filipinos are hopping into their cars for a quick respite at the beach. But as cars on the road increase, the issue of road safety should be highlighted.

This May, Toyofest Philippines (TFP) is returning to promote a holistic drivers' experience that features Philippine motorsports and road safety. Under the biggest gathering of Toyota-based car clubs and enthusiasts in the country, over 30 car clubs from all over the Philippines will converge at three separate locations to celebrate the unity of car clubs and enthusiasts, and celebrate their love for their Toyota vehicles.

“What makes Toyo Fest unique is that we don’t just show off our cars and ogle at models. We want to change this culture by advocating for responsible driving,” shares Martin Estrella, the festival’s founder.  “We want to reach out to different parts of the country to share our dream of having safer roads for everyone. At the same time, we want this to be a celebration of the unity and fellowship between different Toyota-based car clubs from all over the country.”

Toyo Fest Philippines 2016 will launch on May 14 at the Clark Parade Grounds in Clark, Pampanga. Throughout the day, there will be food trucks, DJs, frisbee competitions, and barbecues. In the evening, guests can join the Fuse Festival, where international DJs from Switzerland, Japan, and the Philippines will lead the party until the morning.

On June 18, the Cebu leg will take place at Sugbo Grounds, where Toyo Fest Philippines will conduct drivers' seminars to teach proper knowledge when driving. There will be a Slalom and Autocross event that will happen simultaneously to show that regular drivers can take part in proper and responsible driving on the track.

The culminating event will be held on July 23 at the Mckinley West Grounds in Taguig. Here, Toyo Fest drivers will make an oath to drivers' safety and ensure that Philippine roads remain protected.

At each leg, attendees can see vintage, high-performance, rare, and even stock Toyotas from all generations.

“With the flashy cars that we’re expected to see during the three legs, we want to remind everyone that we should all work together to become role models and promote safer roads through responsible driving.” ends Estrella.
