I can relate to the story. I just don't have the guts to ask what Bea asked John Loyd though. hehe...
But i have moved on already. although, there are still times when I think about him. What if i didn't broke up with him? I'm sure marami ako matututunan sa story ng muvi.

based on the trailer,I think na maganda ung story ng movie. cant wait to see it...

as i have watched the trailer i think the movie would be a hit... the movie is nice. I could even relate my past relationship from this movie. but sad to say we didnt end up. but i've moved on already.....

i've just watched the movie tonight... wow! ang ganda.. may mga scenes na funny.. pero touching talaga yung story at ang galing nila John Lloyd at Bea... madadala ka talaga sa story..

pag labas ko ng sinehan... namamaga yung mga mata ko.. hehehe. halos hindi ko nakayang harapin yung papasok sa sinehan.. nahihiya aku.. pero im sure pagkatapos nilang manood.. maiintindihan nila kung bakit ang pupula ng mga mata ko (at hindi dahil sa sore eyes). ;)

The movie is so great! Galing umarte ni John Lloyd sobrang natural lalo na sa hospital scene nung friend nya, yung kilos nya natural na natural even on how he wiped his tears. Sobrang ganda! It's happening and Im sure a lot can relate on the story.

i've watched the movie last Saturday, 11/18, guess with whom??? hehe, with my ex, kasama mga friends namin...sobrang relate syempre sa story at sobrang tinutukso kaming dalawa for one more chance..hehe... First time kong mapanood ang trailer nito sa cinema one channel, i really cried, as in )-: ...Nung napanood ko to, kaiyak pa rin pero pinipigalan ko lang wag masyado maiyak kasi nga katabi ko sya... hahaha.. huhuhu... The movie is really worth watching...Congrats John Lloyd and Bea, you're really one of my favorite loveteams...

I was able to watch the movie on its first day. And I found it SUPER nice kasi I can relate to the whole story. I am the "Loydie" character, basta na lang iniwanan after 13 years of marriage. It really hurts but HAVE TO MOVE ON. And am doing fine after 2 years of separation. GOD gave me the COURAGE AND STRENGTH TO MOVE ON...

The latest Star Cinema's offering titled, One More Chance that featured Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz is one appealing film. Time and again, since their first team up via the boob-tube, they have once again proven their blockbuster power.

Its entirety, the movie is funny and witty. It offered and attempted a refreshing perspective of two people madly in-love with each other that underwent crucial choices in their journey together as lovers and as individuals. In terms of acting, Cruz provided a more in-depth portrayal of Popoy’s character, a man dumped by the woman he had allowed to anchor himself and his life; leading him to controlling the ladylove’s life in suffocation. Though Alonzo, also exhibited a more improved attack as she breathed into the role of Basha who made a difficult decision of breaking up from the man she spent her five years and lost her identity in the process. But between the two, Popoy’s character has a better transformation and redeeming value.

In fact, the film can be aptly titled, What If, What Is because of the characters hopes of discovering the ‘unknown’ in their journey as individuals and as partners.

Towards the end tail of the story, what was dismaying was the handling of its conclusion. The football field scene where Popoy and Basha were saying ‘goodbyes’ was already a perfect ending, but for typical Filipino stories—they dragged the finale into a more deliberate happy ending formula. Personally, I felt, I was cheated. If the theme of the movie is about discovering one’s self and emphasizing on personal choices, why didn’t they just create a more sensible and intelligent ending rather than spoon-feed the moviegoers.

Perhaps, the movie’s memorable scenes were Basha’s shameful predicament as she rushed to her friend’s water closet due to LBM as well as Popoy’s friend who attempted to poison himself through a dose of shampoo. Derek Ramsay and Maja Salvador’s inclusion in the story were essential, although the third party characters they acted out remained an ‘weakness’ for Filipino stories as opposed to Korean films. Ramsay’s role provided a punchy line, “Mature people make relationship works”—was enough to stress a gospel truth on maturity. Salvador’s scene where she bade farewell to Cruz was also worth highlighting; she was successfully able to express a ‘mature’ woman in pain of letting go of a man she loves for another woman. The act of making Popoy close his eyes while confessing to her that the man still loves Basha marked a stirring moment.

The film also utilized ‘symbolism’ and one that is noticeable; Basha once gave Popoy on their anniversary a picture frame. On the other hand, Trisha, Maja’s role as the ‘rebound’ lover to Popoy also gave a picture frame to him, but when he hanged it on the wall above his bed—it could not totally cover up the trace that the previous frame left behind.

If you go for romantic comedies or feel good movies, One More Chance is a good treat for you.
