This is definitely big news! Another Filipino has landed a role in the world's longest-running musical, Les Miserables.

According to the production’s official website, Rachelle Ann Go will take on the role starting June 15. Other new cast members joining the play are Jeremy Secomb as Javert, Zoë Doano as Cosette and Phil Daniels and Katy Secombe as The Thénardiers.
In Les Mis, Fantine is forced into prostitution to earn a living so she can send money to her young daughter Cosette. She sings the famous song "I Dreamed a Dream".
Les Miserables is based on the novel of the same name by Victor Hugo.
Lea Salonga who played Éponine and Fantine in the Broadway production of the play in 1993, went to Twitter to congratulate Rachelle:

According to the Les Mis website, Rachelle Ann Go has just finished playing the role of ‘Gigi’ in Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of “Miss Saigon” at the Prince Edward Theatre for which she won the Whatsonstage Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical.
