Lea Salonga Performs in 'Tomorrow: A Concert for the Future'
posted on Wednesday, October 11, 2006International star Lea Salonga performs in her first concert after giving birth in 'Tomorrow: A Concert for the Future' at the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Main Theater) on October 20 and 21, 2006 at 8pm.
Who's going to be on stage with Lea?
It's quite the line-up: the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers, the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, Hail Mary the Queen Children's Choir, Kilyawan Boys' Choir, singer Calvin Millado, and child singer Julia Abueva. Lea's brother, Gerard, is at the helms as Music Director while Chris Millado directs.

The performance highlights a first for Lea as she has never before teamed up with the Madrigal Singers - until now. The songs and production numbers celebrate a world where all children develop to the fullest and realize the dreams of nurturing family, culture and society. The repertoire will have excerpts from the musicals "Lion King," "Gypsy," "Annie" and popular songs like "Man in the Mirror," "You Raise Me Up" and "Chiquitita," among many other numbers.

The concert is presented by the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), the Rotary Club of Paranaque Poblacion, and the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (Southern Tagalog Chapter), in cooperation with the Stores Specialists Inc., Globe Platinum, and Procter and Gamble Distributing Philippines. The Benefactors are AIG credit cards, Int'l Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI), and Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO). The Peninsula Manila is sponsoring cocktails, while Ralph's Wines and Spirits is the wine sponsor.
For ticket inquiries, please call the CCP Box Office at 832-3704 or at 832-1125 loc. 1405-1406.
